What is the Daily Grind? ^{(Taken from the protagonists board.)}
It is a photolog 'project' that allows you to share your daily life via photos with others!

This is an idea that was started by Naim at the Positively Charged Particle board.

Basically, it is a PHOTOLOG which takes place on a set date (which will be announced at least a week prior). On this day, starting at midnight (or when you wake up), you take pictures of your day-- the things you see and do! Use your digital camera, 35mm, disposable, webcam, ... [anything that can take pictures, okay?] to do this. Carry your camera with you for this 24 hour duration (although, it can extend until you finally go to sleep).

After the day is over, get those pictures onto a computer, and onto a site, in a sequential log format (eg. pic #1, pic #2, pic #3, etc). Then, head over to this forum and post your DG in the specified thread devoted to the date.

Also, note that a DAILY GRIND is different than a photogallery. Try not to cram dozens of pictures from one significant event (save that for your own photogallery). Generally, most people have 20-30 pictures from their DG that is evenly spread throughout the day.

FAQ:
Where do I sign up to be part of this project?
- There is no official signup or anything. Upcoming DG's will be announced in this forum. Just do them on that date, and then post your URL in that specified thread.

Do I have to participate in all of them?
-Nope. Just whenever you want. This is a project completely just for fun!

Should I include everyone else's urls on my page?
It'd be nice if you did because it shows a bigger picture to the point of having a DG (sharing with everyone your photos) and also community spirit, but not a requirement at all. click here for the list of participants in the past.

Can I do my DG on a different date?
-You can photolog your day on different dates, but it won't be part of our DG project because this is a community project. It kind of loses the point if we just all chose random dates that fit our schedule better. One aspect of why the DG is interesting is because it shows what all of us are doing on a respective date.

Who picks the date for an upcoming DG?
We, the community, collaborate on the date.

How do I set up a photolog?
-You can just use basic html. There's no fancy script or layout necessary. A few of us decided to go all out though, incorporating b2 or MT scripts.
